THE CAREER BEHIND THE CREDITS.
Jonathan trained at Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with a diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.
He began onstage, dancing for Kylie Minogue, Anastacia, and Enrique Iglesias at the Royal Variety Performance. He has performed roles in Starlight Express (Bochum), Legally Blonde (West End), and An Evening of Dirty Dancing (UK Tour, Dance Captain).
He moved into creative direction in 2016 with Reset Productions, where he was brought onboard to rewrite the book for 'Tina: The Rock Legend' from the ground up. Working across script, staging, and choreography for their touring production in Germany. Jonathan later returned to originate their 'One Moment in Time: The Whitney Houston Story' and latest production 'The Magic Night of Dance Musicals' as Creative Producer, Director/Choreographer.
At sea, Jonathan has held Resident Director roles across two of the largest cruise operators in the world: Resident Director for BOR Productions across eight ships in the MSC fleet, and Resident Director for RWS Global aboard MSC’s Grandiosa and Bellissima.
He choreographed the world exclusive 'Wallace & Gromit: All Hands on Deck' production for P&O’s flagship Arvia, working directly with Aardman’s creative team to integrate character choreography and audience interaction.
As Creative Producer, Director & Choreographer for Jammy Creative Studios, Jonathan writes, choreographs, directs, and installs original shows for international cruise and corporate clients including Tallink, Coastfields Leisure, Park Dean, and Colchester Zoo. Jonathan also manages incoming choreographers on Jammy’s behalf, sharing creative vision across a growing team.
His themed attraction and brand credits include 'Lord Vamp’s Monster Party' for LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and 'Jingle Voices' at Chessington World of Adventures, both delivered for one of the world’s leading themed entertainment producers, RWS Global.
In pantomime, Jonathan has choreographed multiple seasons for Crossroads Pantomimes, Capitol Theatre Horsham, and Landmark Theatres, including Aladdin at Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple, and is currently set to choreograph and be associate director for Snow White at Queen’s Theatre.
In 2024 he shadowed Michael Harrison’s production of Robin Hood at the London Palladium.
Jonathan also teaches the next generation of performers. Regularly delivering workshops for performing arts schools and colleges across the UK, including choreographing entry pieces for Move It, Can You Dance and Disneyland performances.
Jonathan is currently studying positive psychology, bringing a coaching mindset to every production room he leads.
